The raw material delivers stable chemical properties under dry and light-shielded storage environments. Its aqueous solution maintains good stability within a pH range of 3 to 7 (acidic to neutral). Severe acidic conditions will trigger hydrolysis reaction, converting the ingredient into propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, which tends to precipitate out and disable preservative functions. Under standardized sealed storage environments, the product offers a shelf life of up to 24 months.
